Teeth: Still only 2 on the bottom. We keep waiting for another to pop through at any minute, but nothing yet! He is always chewing on something...fingers, bib, dog leash, flip flops--you name it, he can chew it:) He has also been a little cranky, so Tylenol has been our friend too!
Mobility: Oh yes, he is VERY mobile now. Tony was just mentioning last night how much quicker he is from a week ago! We now have all of our outlet covers and plug covers on, although he can still find a cord when there is one to be found! Our new favorite word is NO--it seems we are always telling that to him.....you know, when he is pulling on a cord, playing in the cat food, digging in the dirt in the potted plant, pushing buttons on the DVD player, etc.:) He is standing a lot too, but only rarely pulls himself up. Usually we help him, although I know the time will be coming when he doesn't need/want our help any more! He can get up just fine to his knees, so we know it will be soon..... He has also learned how to sit himself down from the standing position. We used to be able to stand him at his table and be able to do something really quick because we knew he didn't know how to get down (well without falling and he didn't really like to do that!!) but that is all out the window now--he just plops himself down and crawls away when he wants too!
Sleeping: Has still been going pretty well overall. He is tending to wake up a little earlier in the morning lately--we aren't sure if it is his teeth bothering him or what--he still sleeps through the night, so you can't ask for much more than that. He is still taking 2 pretty good naps during the day, so that is helpful to be able to get some things done as well:)
Eating: He still does not like many green vegetables. I've been meaning to make some more green beans and maybe try some asparagus, but haven't gotten around to it. He has started eating some meat--I don't make that:)--he wasn't a huge fan of it plain, so we usually mix 1/2 jar in with his vegetable at dinner time and he eats it great! We've also introduced a little bit of juice....more like a splash of juice with a bunch of water! He likes it a lot too! We've also given him some teething biscuits--well they are more like rice cakes:) He does pretty good with them and really likes them. We've had a gagging incident or two, which scared us to death, but he enjoys them:) Since I have been home these past few weeks, he is still nursing 3-4 times a day. I've finally broken into my frozen reserves in order to make his cereal in the morning--we should be good for a while since I still have 2 grocery sacks full in the freezer. Again, I NEVER would have thought that I would still be doing it and I actually get a little sad when I think about stopping.....it is kind of "our" time together:)
Overall he is an excellent little guy. He has began to have a little bit more personality--making his feelings known--and that is fun. We've also introduced some simple sign language with him. We've started with more, milk, eat, drink, and all done. We usually do it mostly when he is eating, but I've tried to get more and all done in when we are playing and during bath time so he starts to realize it can be used more than just at mealtimes. We are still totally in love with him and can't wait to see what he starts doing in the next month!
Here are a few pics to enjoy!
One of the first times standing at his music table.
Now we rarely sit behind him.
