It has been a while since I have been able to get on and update! It is crazy how fast the time goes by! I'm currently using all of my free time in the evenings studying for an upcoming certification exam....so that is why the long delay in blogging. It will continue until Jan 31st....but I will try to get on every once in a while:)
It is hard to believe that Owen is 13 months old! He is walking, no wait, more like running all over the place! Tony says he has "great closing speed" when he is going towards something that he shouldn't be! He especially loves to get into the bathrooms and unroll the toilet paper or empty the drawers! We finally had to give in and put latches on all of our drawers in the kitchen...he would NOT stay out of them! He amazes us everyday with something new that he has learned. He is "talking" up a storm. Most of the time we can't understand him, but he definitely tries to get his point across! He has a few words: socks, bath, that, this, banana (more like ba, ba, na-but we know what he means), ball, oh....just to name a few. Grandpa Steve got him to do touchdown the next to the last week of football (well, for us Buffalo fans!). He has also started putting his hand up to his ear and saying "hello" like he is talking on the phone....very cute. He also knows several animal noises: dog, cat, lion, elephant (yes...he really knows elephant), and he is close to having duck. He can also tell you several body parts: tongue, belly, nose, ears, and hair. Tony and I just said that we need to get some of this stuff on video....hopefully I will have some to post soon.
As for sleeping, he is still taking 2 naps a day....but I am not sure how much longer that will be lasting. There are some days it is difficult to get that morning nap in, but we will keep trying until he is for sure not giving in anymore:) He is eating most everything. We have tried peanut butter and eggs and he appears to have no allergies, so that is good. However, we have discovered that there are a few things that he doesn't like:) One is eggs.....We have tried, scrambled, fried, poached, only the white, only the yoke, in between toast....and he wants nothing to do with it. He also doesn't really like pancakes! Tony and I were baffled....give the boy some oatmeal and a banana and he is set for breakfast!
Well, I guess that is all for 13 months.....no pictures this month...sorry! It has only taken me 3 nights after starting this post originally to get it finished!
That is Andrew - oatmeal and a banana and he loves yogurt too. He didn't really like pancakes either! What the heck?!
